Let us help your business THRIVE
Tricia King has been the customer support director for two start up companies (Smilesnap and Tola), has worked with Lightspeed, specializing in retail and restaurant POS systems, managed a restaurant for 5 years, worked at Nordstrom in sales, customer experience, and logistics for 5 years, and has spent time working at several other small businesses.
Some of the consulting services we offer:
Website Management
Have you been wanting to update that web page for 3 months but keep forgetting? Maybe a link is broken, but you can’t find where. Maybe the breakfast menu just wont save to the middle of the page. We can help! Tricia built this website herself, and has helped design and create content for SmileSnap and Tola previously.
Customer Support
Have you been running a business, but are struggling to keep things from falling through the cracks? Customer retention is an incredibly important part of ANY business. We will assess your needs, make suggestions for organizational tools if needed, and set up workflows that remind you to follow up before your customers have to.
De-escalation and Customer Experience
Tricia has her BA in psychology and sociology from the University of Colorado Denver. She has been a licensed security guard, and a high-risk patient behavioral therapist in addition to working as the head of customer service and support at both Tola and SmileSnap. She can run one-on-one or team meetings focusing on customer service and de-escalation, including offering skillsets to calm customers down verbally and in written communication.
Employee Relations and Retention
As general manager at DP Dough in Boulder for much of her young adulthood, Tricia ensured that every employee had a voice, that they were praised when they did something well, and that every mistake was an opportunity for improvement rather than punishment. The average turnover rate for employees in this sector is 100-150% ANNUALLY. That means if you have a regular staff of 10 people, you hired 20-25 this year, and lost more than stayed.
90% of new hires quit within 90 days in the food service sector. People quit managers, not jobs. If you want to be a manager that your employees respect, trust, and WANT to work for, please let us help.
Tricia maintained less than a 20% turnover rate at DP Dough, despite the additional challenges that being in a college town presented, such as employees leaving for whole summers, spring, winter, and fall breaks, and being college-aged and unreliable. They came back after every break, even though it would have been very easy to go find a new job elsewhere. These skills are not limited to food service, Tricia has management experience in software, retail, and presently, moving and pet sitting!
